Privacy Policy

Luna.ai ("Luna", "we", "us") is a Discord bot that runs a creature-catching and battling game. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Luna, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We collect only what's needed to run the game:

• Discord user ID — the numeric identifier Discord assigns to your account. Used to link your game progress to you.
• Discord username / display name — cached so embeds show a readable name instead of just an ID.
• Discord guild (server) IDs — to scope spawns, server-wide perks, and leaderboards to the server you're playing in.
• Channel IDs — to track which channel a spawn, battle, or other gameplay event is taking place in.
• Message activity metadata — we count messages per channel to drive the "spawns from chat activity" mechanic. We do not store the text of your messages.
• Gameplay state — your collected creatures, items, gold, gems, battle history, season pass progress, quest completion, achievements, faction membership, friendships, and similar game data.
• Purchase records — for every Discord entitlement tied to your account, we store: the Discord entitlement ID, SKU ID, product slug, timestamps, and whether the grant was fulfilled. We do not receive or store payment card information — Discord handles that.
• Technical logs — when commands fail or errors occur, we log the command name, error, and your Discord user ID to help debug.

• Your email address, phone number, IP address, or device identifiers.
• The contents of your Discord messages (beyond the activity counts above).
• Direct messages (DMs) you send to other users.
• Payment card numbers or billing addresses — those stay inside Discord.

• To run the game: saving your progress, spawning creatures, calculating battles, granting rewards.
• To fulfill purchases: when Discord tells us you bought a product, we grant the corresponding in-game reward exactly once.
• To detect and prevent exploits, cheating, and abuse.
• To show leaderboards, public codex entries, and shared server content.

We don't sell your data. We share data only when necessary:

• With Discord — because Luna runs on Discord's platform, data you provide through Discord commands necessarily passes through Discord.
• With hosting / infrastructure providers — our database, image storage, and image-generation pipeline run on third-party infrastructure. Those providers process your data only as needed to operate the service.
• With law enforcement — only when legally required.

• Game progress is kept as long as your account is active.
• If you request deletion (see below), we erase your game data within 30 days.
• Purchase records may be retained longer for tax and audit purposes, reduced to the minimum required (entitlement IDs, timestamps, amounts — no personal profile data attached).
• Log data is rotated automatically; we do not keep indefinite error logs.

You can:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and game state.
• Stop using Luna at any time — Discord also lets you block the bot or kick it from your server.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the Luna support Discord server. For data-deletion requests, include your Discord user ID.

Luna is not directed at children under 13. You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement to use Luna. If we learn we collected data from someone under the applicable minimum age, we delete it.

We do our best to keep your data safe, using trusted tools with tight security — encrypted connections, access controls, and restricted admin access. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe you've found a security issue, please report it privately via the Luna support Discord server instead of disclosing publicly.

Luna is operated from and stored on infrastructure that may be located outside your country. By using Luna you consent to the transfer of your data to those locations for processing.

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be announced in the Luna support Discord server and the "Last updated" date above will change.
